About the Book
Mike Hogan, a successful musician living in Berkeley, gets the urge to go on a vacation and track down his mother, who moved two years ago without letting her three children know where she was going. Mike and his siblings, Alicia and Matt decide to travel together to Greece, a place that was very special to their mother to see if she has chosen Greece to live. They arrange to visit five islands in Greece where they hopefully will find their mother. The islands are Kea, Kythnos, Syros, Mykonos and Hydra. Armed with photos and descriptions, they are ready to find their mother. The three siblings set off. As they travel they take a magical journey and discover places they could never have imagined. they experience the lively and ancient cultural heritage of Greece, getting to know the people, landscape, architecture and food along the way, but the mystery still remains-where is their mother?
As Mike, Alicia and Matt enjoy their adventures abroad, they learn about Greece and about themselves, broadening their horizons and discovering truths that were previously hidden inside. This novel tells a story of love and of family reuniting and sharing their lives with wisdom and each other.
About the Author
Patricia McCaron is a native San Franciscan now living in Marin County in Larkspur, California. She is a mother, grandmother, abstract painter, collage artist, poet and essayist. She has been a Marin race walker for 28 years, a member of the JCC for 22 years and a member of the Marin Poetry Center for ten years. She published her first book, Paintings and Poetry by Patricia, in 2007. this is her first novel. pattitheartist@sbcglobal.net
